Hello! I just wanted to share my story as a relieved mom of a whole boy!
Before I became pregnant with my son, I had two daughters and decided to open our home to watching a young boy for some extra income. The first time I changed him, I was surprised, because I had never seen a foreskin. This young boy hadn’t been circumcised. It had never occurred to me that this was something you wouldn’t do.
Fast forward a year: I discovered we were expecting our third child and the ultrasound tech told us “boy” at the anatomy scan.
I started researching circumcision and was appalled that it was still a routine practice after reading and seeing what an awful thing it is. I brought up to my husband the idea of keeping him whole. He was taken off guard and defensive, so I backed off for a few weeks. Then one night I asked tentatively, “So, are we on the same page about keeping our son intact?”
Oh my word. I couldn’t have gotten a better response:
“Oh yeah, there’s no need for it. I’m kind of mad I was circumcised.”
He had done his own researching! He was on board! We delivered in an incredibly intact-friendly hospital and got an “Oh good!” from all medical staff when we said no to circumcision.
Here’s our chunk, RFK! He has had no problems or issues with his intact body.
I pray all moms realize the Lord designed their boys perfectly and a movement begins to save boys from unnecessary surgery.
